Macron: Putin unwilling to negotiate or pursue peace
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not want peace and is not ready to negotiate on it. He intends to escalate military actions, states French President Emmanuel Macron as reported by BFMTV.
"I believe it is clear that President Putin's intentions are to intensify fighting," he said.
He emphasized that it is everyone's duty to push Russia towards halting the fighting and negotiating peace on terms that "respect international law."
"Whatever his statements, he does not want peace and is not ready to negotiate it," added the French president.
Macron also stated that he does not rule out negotiations with Russian dictator Putin, but only when "when the context and conditions are right."
"we must keep our commitments to the Ukrainians," he concluded.
It was reported today by Western media that France and Britain have allowed Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory with SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles. This decision followed the approval from Biden, who allowed strikes on Russia with American long-range ATACMS missiles.
