Machine gun fire brings down Russian drone in attack on Kyiv
National Guard troops downed a Russian drone over Kyiv using a machine gun during yet another air raid, according to the National Guard.
“During another Russian aerial attack on the Kyiv region, National Guard forces successfully destroyed an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle with precise machine gun fire,” the statement reads.
According to the National Guard, the actions of the troops securing the airspace over the capital allowed them to neutralize the Russian UAV without any casualties or damage.
Russian attacks on Kyiv
Russian forces attempted to strike Kyiv on the night of November 3. The air raid alert in Kyiv lasted over five hours as drones approached the capital in groups and at very low speeds.
Despite recorded damage from drone debris in two areas of Kyiv, all UAVs targeting the city were intercepted.
In the Kyiv region, where the attack on the capital was countered, five areas reported damage, and fires were also recorded.
