An attack was carried out on an oil depot in Luhansk — online, eyewitnesses are posting footage showing flashes, a glow, and then a strong fire, according to Russian media.

According to footage posted online by pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels, after the strike on the oil depot, a dense column of smoke and fire rose into the air, suggesting oil was on fire.

The horizon was also covered with a glow after the strike on the oil depot.

Before that, a drone strike threat had been announced in the city.

Strikes on the oil depot in Luhansk have been recorded before, with consequences including fires and losses. For example, on September 4, an oil depot in occupied Luhansk — which supplies fuel to Russian occupation forces — was attacked.

The oil depot in Luhansk is regularly shelled. In December 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed a drone strike on the oil depot — Russian fuel and lubricant storage facilities were hit.
