Loud explosions were heard in Kyiv overnight on March 23 amid a threat of drone attacks on the capital, according to RBC-Ukraine's correspondents and the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The first explosion was heard at approximately 00:11 Kyiv time, followed by at least one more a minute later. By 00:15 Kyiv time, the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that air defenses were active in the capital.

"A hostile drone north of Kyiv is moving in a southwesterly direction," the military warned at 00:04.

Earlier in the night, explosions were also heard in Kyiv as air defense forces intercepted enemy drones, just as they are doing now.

Later, Kyiv’s chief official, Timur Tkachenko, reported that a drone had crashed in the city's Podilskyi district. According to preliminary information, there were no damages or casualties.
