Lithuanian President presents five-point plan for European support of Ukraine

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda proposes a plan to support Ukraine to Europe, which includes security guarantees for Ukraine, according to Nausėda's X.
"We must act now to support Ukraine and boost Europe's security. No more talk shops - time for action," he wrote.
The plan outlines the following measures:
- Real security guarantees for Ukraine, with NATO membership remaining on the table;
- Holding Russia accountable for war crimes, with sanctions remaining in place until the aggression stops;
- Urgent funding for weapons production and €10 billion for Ukraine's defense industry;
- Seizing Russia’s frozen assets and imposing tariffs on Russian/Belarussian imports;
- Accelerated EU membership for Ukraine by 2030.
The Lithuanian President emphasized that Ukraine's security is part of European security.
European assistance to Ukraine
After Donald Trump became the new US President, Washington stopped providing military aid to Ukraine.
Against this backdrop, assistance from European countries became critically important for Ukraine.
According to Politico, EU countries may be preparing a military aid package for Ukraine, which could include weapons worth €6 billion or more.
Additionally, Ukraine recently received a new military aid package from Germany. It included a significant number of drones, missiles for air defense systems, and artillery.
