Lithuanian PM on Russia's decision to change border: Provocation from hybrid warfare arsenal
Russia's plans to change the borders with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea are another provocation, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte stated.
"I would interpret this as stated in the official statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - it is just a provocation from the arsenal of hybrid actions, aimed at creating the impression that we do not understand what is happening and to frighten us," she said.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will do its part, a trusted representative will be summoned and will be told everything we think about this. We are also coordinating our actions with our colleagues (NATO), both in terms of assessment and response,” Šimonyte added.
Russia decides to shift the border in the Baltic Sea
Russia's Ministry of Defense has prepared a draft decree that provides for changes in maritime borders in the Baltic Sea. According to the document, Moscow will unilaterally shift the borders toward Lithuania and Finland.
Finland has already reacted to the Kremlin's initiative and said it intended to find out the details of Russia's plans.
