Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis emphasized the need to revise the approach to assisting Ukraine and called on European partners to take decisive action, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry says.

The head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry noted that the situation requires not only financial and military support for Ukraine but also political consolidation from the EU.

“We all need a new strategy for Ukraine's victory, based on strength and ability to mobilize, not on fear of escalation. The thousand-day war proved that it is impossible to achieve peace through a strategy of non-escalation,” Landsbergis says.

US authorization to strike Russia

For several months, Ukraine has been asking the United States and other Western countries to authorize long-range missile strikes on Russian territory. However, our partners feared that such a step would lead to an escalation.

At the same time, yesterday Western media reported that US President Joe Biden had authorized strikes by US weapons on Russian territory. However, according to Axios, the strikes are limited to the Kursk region.

At the same time, The Wall Street Journal's sources said that American partners may further expand the area of long-range missiles for Ukraine.

After that, China's Foreign Ministry called for a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine, saying that a political solution to the conflict is in the interests of all parties.
