In 2024, Lithuania will deploy the Patriot air defense system, according to SkyNews.
According to Lithuanian Minister of Defense Arvydas Anusauskas, the mission includes the deployment of the Patriot air defense system.
"The rotational air defence system, agreed at Vilnius [NATO summit] will begin working this year at least partially. The Patriot system will be deployed by a European NATO ally," Anusauskas told reporters.
Protection of NATO countries against Russian aggression
Earlier, we wrote that Albania opened its first NATO base, located less than 100 km south of the capital, Tirana.
We also reported that military exercises involving NATO countries and the US had begun in Georgia.
By the way, NATO is starting large-scale exercises near the borders of the Russian Federation.
