On the anniversary of the liberation of Zmiinyi Island by Ukrainian defenders, Lithuania called on the Russian Federation to make another "gesture of goodwill" and withdraw from the territory of Ukraine, reported by the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the OSCE on their Twitter account.

"On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the liberation of Zmiinyi Island by Ukrainian defenders, we call on Russia to take the next level of its 'gesture of goodwill' and leave the entire territory of Ukraine. Immediately!" the representation wrote.

On June 30, 2022, the enemy evacuated Zmiinyi Island following another operation by our military forces. The Russian occupiers hastily withdrew the remnants of their garrison and claimed a so-called "gesture of goodwill."

On the island's liberation anniversary, the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, shared a video dedicated to this date.
