Latvia is set to host NATO’s first full-scale multinational brigade exercise, taking place from November 1 to 14, citing Delfi.

Over 3,500 allied soldiers will participate in the Resolute Warrior 2024 exercise, led by NATO’s Multinational Division North. The aim of the exercise is to demonstrate the brigade’s ability to conduct operations by integrating all subordinate and support units.

"The training of the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia is a clear and unmistakable proof of allied presence in the Baltic region and their determination, together with the national armed forces, to protect Latvia if necessary," said Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds.

Resolute Warrior 2024 showcases the NATO multinational brigade's ability in Latvia to rapidly deploy forces, maintain command, control, and communication, and integrate all subordinate and supporting units.

On October 17, NATO's multinational battle group in Latvia, previously led by a mechanized infantry brigade of the land forces under Canadian command, was transferred to the command of the NATO multinational brigade.

Currently, the brigade includes military personnel from 13 NATO countries: Albania, Czechia, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Poland and the Baltic states proposed building a defensive line along the border with Russia and Belarus. They submitted a corresponding letter to the EU.

Additionally, Warsaw recently announced the construction of modern fortifications on Poland's eastern border.
