Attack on Kyiv: what is known

At around 1 a.m. Kyiv time, an air raid alert was issued in the capital due to a drone threat, and explosions followed almost immediately. Later, the enemy also launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko and Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko, damage from the attacks has already been recorded in five districts. As of 2:55 a.m., Kyiv authorities report one dead and two injured.

Kharkiv under drone attack: what is known about the impact

Russia attacked Kharkiv with drones, with explosions starting around midnight. According to local media, there have been more than 20 blasts.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the enemy targeted the Industrial and Nemyshlianskyi districts of the city.

In the Industrialnyi district, several residential buildings were hit. In a five-story building, according to Terekhov, people are reportedly trapped. A dormitory for displaced persons, a hospital, and a maternity clinic were also damaged.

In the Nemyshlianskyi district, a homeowner was injured when a Shahed drone struck her house.

As of 2 a.m., 11 people have been reported injured in the city.

Following previous rounds of attacks, a state of emergency has been declared in Ukraine’s energy sector. In Kyiv, emergency power outages have been ongoing for more than a week, with scheduled rolling blackouts not in effect.

Amid the difficult energy situation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has urged Ukrainians to stock up on water, food, and medicine for 3–5 days.

Additionally, Mayor Klitschko again advised Kyiv residents to either leave the city or ensure they have sufficient supplies of water and food.
