On the night of January 24, Russia continued its aggression against civilians in Ukraine. The entire country remains at heightened risk of shelling, and Kyiv has already suffered a massive combined attack, with strikes ongoing, according to a post by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, on Telegram.

Tkachenko reported that in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, a non-residential building was struck, resulting in a fire.

At the same time, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that medics were called to the Holosiivskyi district. He also reported that a non-residential building in the Desnianskyi district was struck.

The capital is still under enemy attack. Residents are urged to stay in shelters, rely only on verified information, and avoid putting themselves or their loved ones at unnecessary risk. Authorities also emphasize the importance of an information blackout and ask people not to post images of the aftermath of enemy strikes online.

Later, Tymur Tkachenko reported that a six-story office building in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district was hit.

Shortly after, Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that garages were on fire in the Dniprovskyi district. Medics were also called to the Darnytskyi district. Additionally, in the Dniprovskyi district, a fuel truck caught fire in a parking lot after being hit by falling debris.

At 02:18, Tkachenko reported that a private house in the Holosiivskyi district sustained window damage from the enemy attack.

On the night of January 24, air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine due to a large-scale Russian attack, which included launches of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as strike drones. The alert was initially issued because of a drone threat, and later, the Ukrainian Air Forces detected a ballistic missile threat.

As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on Friday, January 23, there were 119 reported combat engagements along the frontlines, including 31 in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces also carried out 62 airstrikes using 145 guided bombs, deployed 3,339 kamikaze drones, and conducted 2,779 strikes on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
