Kyiv under attack: Drones strike reported, air defenses respond

On the night of November 14, Russian forces attempted to attack Kyiv with drones. Air defense is operating in the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
“An air-raid warning is sounding in Kyiv due to the threat of enemy UAVs. We urge Kyiv residents to head to shelters and remain there until the alert is lifted,” the statement said at 23:50 Kyiv time.
At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that Russian drones were heading toward Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Poltava. Just ten minutes later, air defense systems began operating in the capital.
“Air defense forces are working to eliminate the threat in the skies over the capital. Stay in shelters until the official all-clear signal,” the Kyiv City Military Administration added at 00:00 Kyiv time.
