Kyiv shaken by explosions as Russian drones target capital

On the night of September 19, Russian forces attempted to attack the capital with drones. Air defense is operating in the city, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram.
“Air defense forces are working to eliminate the threat in the skies over the capital. Stay in shelters until the official all-clear signal,” the statement said at 01:17 Kyiv time.
Earlier, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that an air raid alert had been declared in the capital due to the movement of Russian attack drones. In addition, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported that Russian drones were heading toward Kyiv.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported that, according to preliminary information, a drone crashed and exploded in the Solomianskyi district. Emergency services are currently heading to the scene.
