Kyiv private medical clinic damaged in Russian strike: Photo report

Russian units attacked Kyiv with drones overnight on January 5. As a result of the enemy strike, a private medical facility was damaged in the capital, according to local authorities and RBC-Ukraine`s own correspondent.
So far, the consequences of the attack have been recorded in the Obolonskyi district of the capital.
“Unfortunately, we have debris impact in the Obolonskyi district. A private medical facility was damaged. All emergency services are working at the scene, and I am also heading to the impact site,” wrote Head of the Obolonskyi District State Administration Kyrylo Fesyk on Telegram.
Earlier, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko also reported that there were reports of a fire in the Obolonskyi district. Most likely, this also concerned the medical facility.
Later in the morning, Fesyk said that one person had been killed as a result of the Russian attack. According to him, there were 70 people inside the facility at the time of the strike.
An RBC-Ukraine correspondent arrived at the scene and took photos of the consequences of Russia’s latest act of terror against Ukraine. The images below show a hole in the wall of the medical building and shattered windows.

The State Emergency Service (DSNS) also showed the consequences of the strike on the medical facility and reported that, in addition to the one fatality, three more people were injured.
“In the Obolonskyi district, there was a hit on a four-story medical facility building at the level of the second floor, where an inpatient department was operating. The fire has been extinguished. During an inspection of the premises, a body was discovered. Twenty-five people were evacuated,” the statement said.

Nighttime Russian attack on Ukraine
On the night of January 5, Russia attacked Ukraine using drones and ballistic missiles, and also scrambled MiG-31K aircraft, though Kinzhal missiles were not launched.
As a result of the attack, impacts have been recorded in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Slavutych, and Chernihiv.
In the Kyiv region, Fastiv district was hit. Nearly a dozen houses and vehicles were damaged, and one man was killed.
According to the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Russia struck the city with drones and ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in a garage cooperative and a private house as a result.
In Slavutych, energy infrastructure was targeted. Later, the Kyiv region authorities reported that the city was left without power.
