Kyiv hit by explosions during drone attack

Explosions were heard in Kyiv as Russian attack drones struck the city; air defense systems are actively engaged, according to RBC-Ukraine's own correspondent and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.
"Air defense forces are actively operating in the capital. Residents and visitors are strongly advised to remain in shelters until the threat passes! There are many drones in the region, and some may be heading toward Kyiv," he wrote.
An air raid alert was issued in the capital at 11:53 p.m. Kyiv time.
By 12:10 a.m., monitoring channels reported no enemy drones in Kyiv or its surroundings.
Update at 12:52 a.m.
Explosions were heard again in Kyiv.
The Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed that the attack by strike drones is ongoing.
“Air defense forces continue to operate in the capital. Stay in shelters and follow all safety rules until the all-clear is given,” the administration urged.
“Stay in shelters! Enemy drones are over the city. Air defenses are active!” Tymur Tkachenko wrote.

Russia launches drone assault on Ukraine
On the evening of June 22, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack across Ukraine.
Air raid alerts were issued in multiple regions across the north, east, south, and center of the country, as air defense systems engaged incoming threats.
Just a day earlier, Russian forces had struck Zaporizhzhia with ballistic missiles.
Overnight into June 22, Russia launched around 50 attack drones and several ballistic missiles targeting regions including Chernihiv, Sumy, and Odesa.
