Kyiv attack damages market and several buildings, emergency crews respond

The State Emergency Service (SES) has released photos of the response to Russia's overnight attack on Kyiv. Two people were injured, with fires and damage recorded in the Obolonskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, according to the SES.
The emergency service published images from the impact sites — the footage shows firefighters and rescuers working on the premises of a market in the Obolonskyi district, where a large-scale fire broke out.
It was there that the two casualties were reported.
At another address in Obolonskyi district, the blast wave caused minor damage to a building without fire, and at yet another — debris struck a non-residential building.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire also broke out on the premises of non-residential buildings — firefighters have already contained the blaze. Information regarding casualties continues to be clarified, with emergency services on the ground finalizing the response to the attack.
This attack was part of a large-scale overnight strike on multiple regions of Ukraine — at the same time, reports emerged of explosions in Poltava and Dnipro, while Kryvyi Rih came under a combined attack involving ballistic missiles and drones.
RBC-Ukraine has previously reported on similar enemy tactics. As early as August 12, it became known that the Kremlin had shifted its approach to aerial attacks, increasingly deploying ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones.
