On the night of September 30, explosions were heard in Kyiv amid a drone attack. Loud sounds were also reported in Zaporizhzhia, according to Telegram channel Suspilne Novyny, RBC-Ukraine's own correspondent, and the Ukrainian Air Forces channel.

It should be noted that an air raid alert was declared in the capital already on the evening of August 29 due to the threat of drone attacks. Around 02:12 Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Kyiv, including the operation of air defense systems. Local channels also report that enemy drones are present over the city.

Shortly before this, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia.

“Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia, according to Suspilne correspondents,” the report said at 01:58 Kyiv time.

The day before, Fedorov reported that an attack drone was heading toward Zaporizhzhia. He later stated that explosions had been heard in the region. He also noted that no enemy drones were observed over the regional center. This report came around the same time as the Suspilne publication.

Additionally, during the night, explosions were also heard in Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and Kharkiv.

Threat of strikes on Ukraine

During the night, Russian attack drones were reported in many regions of Ukraine. In addition, according to monitoring channels, Russia has reportedly deployed strategic bombers Tu-95MS and Tu-160. This information has not been officially confirmed, but a combined strike cannot be ruled out.
