Emergency services showed photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack on Kyiv. Russia attacked the capital for the third time in the last five days, using ballistic missiles.

RBC-Ukraine reveals photos of the aftermath of the Russian shelling of Kyiv.

In particular, a house in the Pecherskyi district was destroyed by Russian rocket debris. The rubble is currently being cleared.

An RBC-Ukraine correspondent visited the scene.

In addition, as noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, as a result of the Russian attack, debris fell in the Solomyanskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital. In the latter, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a private house was damaged.

According to the rescuers, debris fell in Holosiivskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Solomianskyi districts without causing any casualties. Rescuers are currently inspecting the areas.

"In the Holosiivskyi district, fragments of a rocket were found in a forest belt," the agency says.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already responded to the ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. He also showed a photo of the aftermath of the strike, thanking the rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the police, utilities, and all the services involved who are eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack against Kyiv this morning.

Currently, rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the sites where the missile fragments fell and were hit.

According to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to preliminary information, seven people were injured, including a 16-year-old girl.

According to preliminary data, it was a result of a rocket attack:

  • a non-residential building was hit in the Pecherskyi district, there may be people under the rubble, windows were smashed and cars damaged in neighboring houses;
  • in the Solomyanskyi district, a building was hit
  • and rocket fragments were found in the yard of a residential building;
  • in Darnytsia district, fragments fell into the yard of a private house.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Russian rocket attack on Kyiv

Around 10:30 a.m. on March 25, an air alert was declared in some regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and the region. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of a ballistic missile threat. Almost immediately, explosions were heard in Kyiv.

Rocket debris fell in several districts of the capital. In particular, a multi-story building in the Pecherskyi district was damaged as a result of the missile attack. At the moment, five people have been reported injured as a result of the Russian occupiers' attack on Kyiv.

Later, it became known that Russia hit Kyiv with two ballistic missiles launched from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. They were shot down. Read more about the consequences of the Russian attack in RBC-Ukraine's report.
