The spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation stated that the proposal of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding the so-called "truce" on the occasion of Victory Day remains relevant, according to Interfax.

"Obviously, Putin's initiative for a temporary truce on the 'holidays' is relevant... Fire will cease. But if there is no reciprocity from Kyiv, and attempts to carry out strikes continue, there will immediately be a 'response'," Peskov said.

Putin’s secretary also complained that the Kremlin allegedly had not heard "any statement" from Kyiv about readiness to join the "holiday truce."

Russian ceasefire

In recent months, the United States of America (USA) has been supporting separate dialogues with Ukraine and Russia with the aim of settling the full-scale war. During negotiations with Kyiv, Washington proposed a complete ceasefire, which the Ukrainian side immediately supported. Instead, the Kremlin began whining and putting forward its own conditions.

After that, the terrorist state of Russia initiated a series of so-called "truces," which it never adhered to. On April 28, Putin announced a temporary ceasefire from May 8 to 11, justifying it with "humanitarian reasons." Commenting on this, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the country is ready for a ceasefire "even from today," but only if the Russian Federation is prepared to take mirror steps.
