Preparations for a trilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump, Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and Russian President Vladimir Putin have already begun, according to Russian media.
"Organizational preparations for a trilateral summit between Putin, Xi Jinping, and Trump have already begun. I can now say for certain that Moscow, Beijing, and Washington are, in principle, ready to hold the meeting," Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov said.
He also stated that the possibility of Putin attending the December G20 summit in Miami would depend on the outcome of the APEC summit scheduled for November 18–19 in Shenzhen, China.
"We are currently discussing the November summit in Shenzhen, but we have received an invitation to the G20 summit," Putin’s aide added.
Asked whether much would depend on the success of the summit, Ushakov answered in the affirmative, "Of course. But as I said, November will come first, followed by December."
The Kremlin previously stated that the expected trilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and US President Donald Trump at the APEC summit in Shenzhen would not fully resolve the war in Ukraine.
