King Charles III of the UK called on allies to unite in support of Ukraine, according to his statement during a joint dinner with US President Donald Trump.

“Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine, to deter aggression and secure peace,” he said.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump nodded in response to his words.

In his speech, Charles recalled that the UK and the US had fought together to defeat the forces of tyranny in two world wars. He also expressed hope that Britain and the US could go even further in economic cooperation than what is outlined in the trade deal signed earlier this year.

Trump is currently on a state visit to the UK. In particular, Politico reported that Ukraine’s allies are doing everything possible to keep Donald Trump on their side - even bringing in the King of England as part of their diplomatic efforts.

It should also be noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Britain on June 23.

During his visit, alongside his meeting with King Charles III, the Ukrainian leader also held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as the speakers of both houses of Parliament, Lindsay Hoyle and Lord John McFall.
