Khmelnytskyi hit by drone attack, destruction and fires reported

On the night of September 3, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on Khmelnytskyi. The city experienced fires and damage as a result, according to Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn.
"There were explosions in the city. Air defense forces were active. Unfortunately, the terrorist attack caused damage and fires. Rescuers are already addressing the aftermath. Some windows were also damaged," he wrote.
The mayor clarified that there is no information about casualties or fatalities.
At the same time, he warned that Russian strategic aviation planes are in the sky and urged residents to respond promptly to air raid alerts.
Attack on Ukraine
On this night, Russia carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine. The western part of the country was primarily targeted by enemy drones.
Explosions were reported in Lutsk, Lviv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and other cities and regions of Ukraine.
