After a week of fierce fighting, the village of Milove in the Kharkiv region has turned into a gray zone - devoid of civilians and left with only ruins, according to a statement by Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Two weeks ago, active hostilities began on a new section of the front, crossing the state border in the Kharkiv region. This concerns the settlement of Milove, located northeast of Velykyi Burluk.

Russian forces had long tried to establish a foothold in this village, but Ukrainian defenders completely destroyed their attempts.

"We're seeing an expansion of the gray zone - basically the combat area. There were reports that Russian forces had entered this settlement, but thanks to our Armed Forces, they came under fire and were completely destroyed and driven out. This is an active combat zone, just like other towns in our territory, unfortunately. There are no people left there - it's nothing but ruins now," Syniehubov stated.
