Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih and Odesa region hit by Russian drone attack: Latest aftermath

On the night of May 19, Russia once again terrorized Ukrainian cities with attack drones. Residential buildings were damaged and people were injured in several regions as a result of the attacks.
RBC-Ukraine has gathered everything known so far about the aftermath of the strike.
Key points:
- Odesa region: A warehouse was damaged and a fire broke out in the Izmail district.
- Dnipropetrovsk region: At least two people were injured as the enemy attacked three districts more than 20 times.
- Kryvyi Rih: About 10 residential buildings were damaged and a woman was injured.
- Kharkiv: A drone hit a private house and a person may still be trapped under the rubble.
- Kyiv region: In Brovary, debris damaged the balcony of a high-rise apartment building and several cars.
- Attack on Ukraine: 27 strike drones hit targets at 15 locations, while debris fell in five other locations.
Odesa region
Tonight, Russia massively attacked the southern part of the Odesa region with strike drones. Most aerial targets were destroyed by air defense forces.
In the Izmail district, a drone hit a warehouse building, damaging the roof and windows. A fire broke out after the strike but was quickly extinguished by rescuers.
No casualties were reported as a result of the attack.

Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces attacked the region more than 20 times with artillery and drones. At least two people were injured.
The Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske, and Myrove communities in the Nikopol district came under attack.
An administrative building and a private house were damaged. A 22-year-old man was injured and will receive outpatient treatment.
In the Samar district, the occupiers attacked the Pereshchepyne community, where infrastructure was damaged.

Kryvyi Rih
The city was attacked by Shahed drones overnight and early in the morning.
A 41-year-old woman was injured. She received medical assistance and will continue treatment as an outpatient.
According to preliminary data, about 10 residential buildings were damaged, some of them severely.
In the Kryvyi Rih district, the enemy also attacked the Lozuvatka community. No casualties were reported there.
All city services, public transportation, hospitals, and social institutions continue operating.
Kharkiv
At dawn, Russian troops struck the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv.
A hit on a private residential building was recorded. A person may still be trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are working at the scene, and a search-and-rescue operation is ongoing.
Later, the regional administration clarified that a 73-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.
Kyiv region
The consequences of the attack were recorded in the Brovary district overnight.
Debris from a downed target slightly damaged a technical balcony of a high-rise apartment building and two passenger cars in Brovary.
No casualties were reported, according to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.
Scale of the attack
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, from 6:00 p.m. on May 18, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 209 Shahed-type strike drones, including jet-powered drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya imitation drones.
The launches were carried out from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region and Crimea.
As of 08:30 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 180 enemy targets in the north, south, and east of the country.
A total of 27 hits were recorded at 15 locations, while debris fell at five other sites.
At the same time, the attack is still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the air.

Previously reported that Russian troops attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones overnight.
Fires broke out there, more than 10 residential buildings were damaged, and two people were rescued. The fate of another person remains unknown.
The day before, Russia launched three ballistic missiles at Naftogaz facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Damage and destruction were reported.
