Russian forces have been massively attacking Kharkiv with various weapons from overnight until morning on June 7. This is Russia's most powerful attack on the city during the entire war, states Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

"Kharkiv is currently experiencing the most powerful attack of the entire full-scale war. As of this moment, at least 40 explosions have rocked the city in an hour and a half," the message stated at 4:38 AM.

He clarified that the enemy is striking simultaneously with missiles, Shahed drones, and guided aerial bombs.

"According to the Air Force, enemy Shahed drones still remain in the suburbs. The threat has not passed. This is outright terror against peaceful Kharkiv," Terekhov emphasized.

Attack on Kharkiv on June 7

Powerful explosions began in the city after 3 a.m. Kyiv time. Initially, the city was attacked by drones, soon after ballistic missiles arrived, and then drones again. Moreover, at the time of this news publication, the attack is ongoing.

As a result of the attack, at least two districts were hit: Kyivskyi and Osnovyanskyi. In the Kyivskyi district, a Shahed struck a civilian enterprise, and in Osnovyanskyi, at least one residential building was hit. Fires broke out in both cases.

Additionally, there are casualties. As of 4:59 a.m., seven people were injured, including a child who is only 1.5 months old. It should be noted that the number of casualties is constantly growing. How many there will be in the end is still unknown.
