US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, described his discussions with Ukrainian leadership as positive, including his talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Kellogg’s post on X.

According to him, he had a “long and intense” day with Ukraine’s leadership in Kyiv.

"Extensive and positive discussions with President Zelenskyy, the embattled and courageous leader of a nation at war and his talented national security team," the US envoy added.

Kellogg’s visit to Kyiv

On February 19, Keith Kellogg began his visit to Ukraine as the US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia.

On the first day of his visit, he met with Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the heads of Ukraine’s intelligence and security services.

On February 20, Kellogg held talks with President Zelenskyy. According to the Ukrainian leader, they discussed the frontline situation and security guarantees for Ukraine.

Zelenskyy also emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to sign a strong partnership agreement with the US.

Notably, Kellogg’s visit came amid controversial remarks from US President Donald Trump, who harshly criticized Zelenskyy.

Trump called the Ukrainian President a “dictator without elections” and claimed that Zelenskyy has low support among Ukrainians.
