Keir Starmer officially becomes new UK Prime Minister
Today, on July 5, Labuor leader Keir Starmer officially became the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, according to Sky News.
Starmer has already received the blessing of King Charles III to form the government.
During a speech at 10 Downing Street, the newly minted head of the British government thanked his predecessor, Rishi Sunak, and said that the work of change begins immediately.
Elections in United Kingdom
At the end of May, former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak dissolved the parliament and called early elections, which took place on July 4. The main competition was between the Conservatives and Labour.
During the elections, Stramer assured that he would continue to help Ukraine in its war with Russia.
