Kazakhstan will increase the amount of oil it exports to Europe. The agreement has been extended until the end of 2026, ORDA reports.

Monthly deliveries will increase from 100,000 to 130,000 tons.

During a meeting with Rosneft Deutschland GmbH CEO Johannes Bremer, KazMunayGas Chairman Askhat Khasenov announced plans to expand supplies of raw materials to Germany.

"Following the meeting, the existing agreement on oil supplies to Germany (from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.) was extended until the end of 2026. The agreement provides for an increase in monthly deliveries from 100,000 to 130,000 tons," KMG says.

Last year, oil began to be shipped to Germany from Kazakhstan's Kashagan, and from 2025, from Tengiz. In the first nine months of this year, 1.5 million tons of Kazakh oil were delivered to the German refinery in Schwedt.

Kazakhstan is stepping up cooperation with China, signing more than 70 agreements. This move underscores the desire to reduce dependence on Moscow.
