The Brazilian Air Force Laboratory has sent data from the flight recorders of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane to Kazakh investigators. The plane crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau, Radio Liberty reports.

Representatives of the laboratory stated that on January 6, they completed the extraction of data from the cockpit recorders of the Embraer aircraft.

It should be recalled that after the aviation disaster, the Kazakh authorities announced that the recorders would be sent to Brazil, the country of the aircraft's manufacturer. This occurred after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev claimed that Russia was attempting to "conceal" the cause of the tragedy.

Plane crash in Kazakhstan

On December 25, an Embraer 190 crashed at the airport of the Kazakh city of Aktau, resulting in 38 fatalities.

The aircraft had attempted to land three times in Grozny, Chechnya, but could not do so. The plane was then redirected to Kazakhstan.

It is worth noting that following the crash, Russia concocted several versions of the tragedy and denied that its air defense systems were responsible for the crash. At the time, Aliyev stated that the plane was damaged due to ground fire.

Recently, Aliyev reiterated that responsibility for the crash of the Embraer 190 passenger plane lies with Russian representatives. Baku demands justice and punishment from those responsible.
