The first ship departs from Odesa port after "Grain deal" suspension
On Tuesday, August 16, the container ship "Joseph Schulte" departed from the port of Odesa. It became the first civilian ship to utilize the temporary transportation corridor opened after Russia's withdrawal from the "grain deal."
The corridor will primarily be used for evacuating vessels in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdenniy during Russia's full-scale invasion. Ukraine proposed this route in its appeal to the International Maritime Organization.
The last time a ship left the port of Odesa under the "grain deal" was on July 16.
