Italy's assistance to Ukraine
Italy is actively supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, providing both humanitarian and military aid. Humanitarian assistance includes medical supplies, hosting Ukrainian refugees, and supporting the reconstruction of critical infrastructure.
Rome has joined EU sanctions against Russia and supplies Ukraine with defensive equipment, including air defense systems, vehicles, and ammunition.
The Italian government supported recently continued weapon supplies to Ukraine.
A meeting also took place between Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, and his Italian counterpart. During that meeting, the parties discussed the supply of missiles for air defense systems, as well as armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles.
