The Israeli Air Force recently concluded another wave of strikes targeting western Iran and Tehran. The assault focused on missile facilities, satellites, and air defense systems, according to The Times of Israel and a statement by the IDF on Telegram.

According to military sources, around 20 Israeli Air Force fighter jets were deployed for the operation, dropping more than 30 munitions on multiple targets.

The strikes reportedly hit infrastructure used for storing and launching missiles intended to threaten Israel, as well as military satellites and radar stations used by Iran for aerial reconnaissance in Kermanshah and Hamedan in western Iran.

"Additionally, an air defense system was bombed in the heart of Tehran," the military added.

The IDF emphasized that the army continues its efforts to weaken the military capabilities of the Iranian regime and to establish air superiority over Iranian airspace to protect Israel.

What preceded this

On the night of June 13, Israel launched strikes on Iran’s military and nuclear facilities, hitting numerous targets. Since then, both countries have been engaged in a cycle of retaliatory attacks.

For some time, it remained unclear whether the US would join the operation. However, in the early hours of June 23, US forces carried out airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow.
