Israeli forces strike Beirut, dozens of destroyed buildings reported
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted at least ten airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut overnight, destroying several buildings linked to the Hezbollah group, according to The Times of Israel.
Israeli military aircraft launched ten strikes in the suburban areas of Ghobeiry and Al-Kafaat, near Sayyed Hadi Highway, the vicinity of the Al-Mujtaba Complex, and the old road to the airport.
Explosions occurred in the suburbs after the military ordered the evacuation of several buildings in a Hezbollah stronghold.
“The raids left massive destruction in the targeted areas, as dozens of buildings were leveled to the ground, in addition to the outbreak of fires,” the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) says.
Videos of the IDF attacks were released online.

Shelling of Beirut and Lebanon
The Israeli army launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon on October 1. The task is to push back the militants of the Islamic group Hezbollah from the border with Israel.
Simultaneously, the military has been shelling Lebanese cities and Beirut, where Hezbollah facilities are located.
In early October, the Israeli army struck Hezbollah positions in Beirut five times, including one explosion in the vicinity of the airport.
Subsequently, the IDF announced the elimination of one of Hezbollah's leaders.
