Israeli army releases number of lost soldiers in Lebanon
On October 7, the Israeli army suffered losses during a ground military operation in Lebanon, according to Reuters.
It is reported that the Israeli Air Force is conducting massive bombings of Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
Two Israeli soldiers were killed in combat on October 7. The total number of military casualties in Lebanon has risen to 11.
According to the IDF, about 190 shells landed on Israeli territory on Monday. At least 12 people were injured.
Escalation in the Middle East
Since October 1, the Israel Defense Forces have been carrying out a ground military operation in southern Lebanon. The operation was prompted by regular shelling of northern Israel by Hezbollah militants.
On the evening of October 7, the Israeli Air Force struck Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in Beirut. In total, the IDF has hit over 70 terrorist targets.
As of October 5, the Israeli army has destroyed 2,000 targets and killed 440 Lebanese militants.
