Israeli Ambassador to UK warns that Iran will not hesitate to attack London
Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Tzipi Hotovely, has warned that Iran may attack London without hesitation. The Israeli government seeks "deterrence" rather than revenge.
Hotovely urged allies to help restrain Iran.
"No one wants this country to be attacked with missiles, with drones - the same drones hurting Ukraine with the same Iranian drones. We need to make sure our country won’t be paralyzed. The country was paralyzed Saturday night… people were sleeping in bomb shelters. This is not the way of a modern country to function," added the Ambassador.
According to Hotovely, the United Kingdom could also be targeted by Iran if the country fails to be deterred after an attack on Israel.
"You’ve seen it in Ukraine… they won’t hesitate to do it here as well. So we don’t want to see that, we need to make sure they’re deterred," she explained.
Britain shoots down Iranian drones in Israel
Israel says Iran launched 170 drones, more than 30 cruise missiles and more than 120 ballistic missiles in an attack on Saturday night.
The British Prime Minister confirmed that Royal Air Force fighters shot down several Iranian drones that attacked targets in Israel over the weekend.
Iran's attack on Israel
On the night of April 13-14, Iran launched hundreds of drones, ballistic and cruise missiles at Israel. This was in response to an IDF strike on its consulate in Syria, which resulted in the elimination of a high-ranking general.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant warned the United States that his country has no choice but to respond to Iran's massive attack.
