Israeli Air Force intercepts aerial target approaching from Lebanon
The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon, according to Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Due to the potential for falling debris from the interception, rocket and missile sirens were activated in the Ramot Naftali area.
Escalation in the Middle East
In recent weeks, there has been a significant increase in cross-border fire between Israel and the Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
On Sunday, militants shelled northern Israel, to which the IDF responded by destroying the launcher responsible for the attack.
On Saturday, the Israeli army conducted extensive strikes on Lebanon, killing Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah during the operation.
The US has urged Israel not to launch a military operation in Lebanon, advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
