Israel-Hamas agreement
On January 15, Israel and Hamas, with the involvement of mediators, reached a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a deal for the release of hostages. The mediators included the USA, Qatar, and Egypt.
The Israeli government, despite minor delays blamed on Hamas, approved the agreement. In protest, three far-right Israeli ministers resigned.
