Israel’s defense minister announces new strikes on Houthis in Yemen

Israel carried out new strikes on the Iranian-backed group Ansar Allah (Houthis) in Yemen in response to a Houthi drone attack on the southern Israeli city of Eilat, according to a post by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.
"We have now delivered a powerful strike on numerous terror targets of the Houthi terror organization in Sanaa", Katz said in a post.
According to him, Israeli Air Force jets targeted Houthi military camps, the general staff, drone positions, and weapons depots. Katz claimed that “many dozens of Houthi terror operatives" were destroyed.
"As I promised yesterday, whoever harms us will be harmed sevenfold," he added.
On September 24, a Houthi strike drone hit Eilat, injuring at least 20 people, including two in serious condition. Israel’s air defense systems failed to intercept the drone.
Prior to this, the Israeli Air Force struck Houthi targets on September 10, also in response to a Houthi attack attempt. Israeli jets targeted militant camps, hit the headquarters of Houthi propagandists, and a fuel depot in Sanaa.
