Israel is ready to continue striking Iran "for weeks to come." For this, the country has a sufficient number of targets and munitions, according to The Guardian.

Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani told journalists that the final decision is up to the political leadership.

"We are prepared to keep operating for weeks to come. We have the targets for that, the munition for that, the manpower for that, and it’s up to the leadership to decide," he said.

According to Amnesty International, cited by the outlet, as of March 27, at least 1,900 people have been killed in Iran as a result of US and Israeli attacks. Among them are at least 100 schoolchildren from the city of Minab.

War in Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation in Iran has passed its midpoint. According to him, the current focus is on Iran’s stockpiles of enriched uranium.

He added that US and Israeli forces have already struck key elements of Iran’s military capabilities, including missile systems, weapons factories, and personnel linked to the country’s nuclear program.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump said that indirect talks between the United States and Iran are going well, adding that a deal could be reached very quickly.

However, just half a day later, he suggested that no agreement may be reached and issued new ultimatums. In particular, Trump said that if Iran does not agree to a deal and does not open the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will blow up and completely destroy all power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island.

In addition, Trump told his aides that he is ready to end the war against Iran. Moreover, he is willing to do so even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.
