Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz suggested that the operation against Iran could soon resume, Epoch reports.

According to the Israeli minister, Iran has suffered "extremely heavy attacks” over the past year that set it "back in all areas." He stressed that Israel’s mission has not yet been completed.

"We must complete the objectives of the campaign in a way that ensures Iran will no longer pose an existential threat to Israel, the United States, and the free world for generations to come," Katz said.

He also noted that Israel is prepared for the possibility that it may soon "have to take further action to ensure these goals are achieved."

Israel and the US operation against Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly stated that the military campaign against Iran is not yet over. According to him, there is still much work ahead.

At the same time, Israel is concerned that US President Donald Trump may reach a deal with Iran, but fail to resolve the key issues.

Trump recently denied saying that military operations against Iran were over.

Against this backdrop, the Israeli government is planning to gradually reshape relations with the United States and phase out the annual $3.8 billion in US military aid over the next decade, while continuing efforts to counter Iran’s nuclear enrichment program.
