The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes on three military complexes of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas in southern Lebanon, according to the IDF Telegram channel.

Israeli military clarified that the targets were located in the areas of Qantara, Yarine, and Tayibe on Lebanese territory. The operation took place recently.

It is also reported that the IDF struck an additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the area of Labbouneh in southern Lebanon.

Earlier, on February 15, rockets were reported to have been fired from Lebanese territory into Israel. The town of Kiryat Shmona was hit.

According to Newsru.co.il, Lebanese sources claimed that at least eight rockets were launched towards Israeli territory.

It is noted that on Thursday, around six o'clock in the evening, about 20 rockets were launched towards this town, of which 6 fell within the town. There were no casualties as a result of the attack, but there was material damage.

Israel's clashes with Hezbollah

Hezbollah militants have repeatedly attempted to strike Israel from Lebanese territory. This has occurred after Israel began its war with Hamas.

Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his country is ready to start a war with Hezbollah.

It was also reported that on January 8, a senior commander of Hezbollah's elite forces, Radvan, was killed in southern Lebanon as a result of an Israeli strike.

Earlier, on January 6, the Israeli military carried out a series of strikes in southern Lebanon after about 40 rockets were fired early in the morning at the northern part of Israel.

It was also reported that on December 20 of last year, Israeli Defense Forces fighters attacked Hezbollah's operational command center in Lebanon. Additionally, at the end of 2023, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned Hezbollah that the IDF would take action to push the militants away from the border with Lebanon if the attacks did not cease.

Recently, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces announced readiness for a potential war with Hezbollah.

Furthermore, on February 4, the Israel Defense Forces struck a command center of Hezbollah with a fighter jet. On February 13, the Israeli military struck several bases and observation posts of militants in southern Lebanon.
