Iran has given the United States its conditions to resume negotiations and end the war in the Middle East, Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, said, according to Al Jazeera.

As the Iranian security official explained, Tehran delivered its proposals to US President Donald Trump through Qatar, which mediated the talks.

He also said that Iran has three clear conditions that, if met, would reportedly bring peace in the Middle East closer.

Rezaei stressed that, at this stage, the demands are:

  • Halting hostilities on all fronts
  • Releasing frozen Iranian assets
  • End of naval blockade.

The Iranian security official said Qatar has already completed its mission and that all these demands are now on the White House chief's table.

Now, Tehran is waiting for Trump's reaction and official response.

Amid this, Rezaei also said that Iran is interested in ending the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis in Yemen.

He also believes the Houthis want to reach an agreement with Riyadh.

As previously reported, Trump intrigued the world with a statement about a turning point in the US war with Iran.

It has also been reported that China is increasing pressure on Iran to rein in the Houthi offensive.

Also, reports have recently emerged that Russia provided Iran with target information during an attack on a US base in Saudi Arabia.
