Iranian forces today, June 20, launched a missile attack on Israel. A strike was reported in the city of Haifa, Ynet reports.

The outlet, citing Israel’s national medical service MDA, reports that at least two people were seriously injured in the attack on Haifa. This happened as a result of a direct ballistic missile strike.

Photos showing the aftermath of the strike on Haifa are already being shared online. Thick smoke rose over the city following the attack.

Missiles or their fragments were also reported to have fallen not only in Haifa, but also in Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Be'er Sheva, and Ashkelon.

Israel-Iran war

Israel launched missile strikes on Iran last week, prompting retaliatory measures from Tehran.

Iranian forces have been regularly targeting Israel’s civilian infrastructure. In particular, a ballistic missile strike last week killed five Ukrainian nationals — three children and two women. They were members of a family from Odesa.

An 8-year-old girl had traveled to Israel to undergo treatment for leukemia. Her father is currently serving on the front lines in Ukraine.

Notably, on the night of June 20, Israel struck Tehran. Fighter jets targeted nuclear facilities in the Iranian capital.
