France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States have condemned Iran's increase in production of highly enriched uranium of up to 60% purity, close to the level used for nuclear weapons, states Reuters.

In the joint statement, the countries did not mention any consequences that Iran may face in connection with the increase in production, but called for its cancellation and said they remained committed to a diplomatic solution to the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.

"The production of high-enriched uranium by Iran has no credible civilian justification. These decisions ... represent reckless behavior in a tense regional context," the statement said.

Iran's creation of nuclear weapons

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has found that Iran has increased its production of enriched uranium.

According to the IAEA's definition, about 42 kg of uranium enriched to 60% is the amount that can be used to make a nuclear bomb.

According to media reports, Iran has enough uranium reserves to build three nuclear bombs.

Earlier, the United States said that Iran is capable of developing nuclear weapons in a few months if it decides to do so. But Washington assured that it would not allow this to happen.
