Iran conducted large-scale military exercise amid tensions with Pakistan
Iran conducted a large-scale military exercise in an area stretching from the southwest to the southeast of the country, according to Xinhua.
It is noted that the exercise, under the codename Modafean Aseman Velayat 1402, involved various units of the Iranian army's air, naval, and ground forces, as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The naval part of the drills took place in the southern waters within a radius of 400 km from the coastline.
Iranian representative Abbas Faradzhpur stated that reconnaissance operations using manned and unmanned aerial vehicles were conducted during the training, and tactical and defensive measures were implemented to detect, track, and counter enemy drones.

Pakistan has accused Iran of violating its airspace and claimed that Tehran conducted an attack resulting in the death of two children.
On January 18, the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that strikes were carried out on hideouts of terrorists in Iran, adding that a series of terrorists were eliminated.
The Pakistani Armed Forces have heightened their state of extremely high combat readiness amid the escalating conflict with Iran.
