NATO's continued assistance to Ukraine is crucial amidst intense fighting in the course of the war on Ukrainian territory, as NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg says during a joint statement with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

He praised the U.S. for its leadership and critically important military equipment provided to Ukraine. He also reminded that Canada and European allies contribute nearly 50% of military support.

"We see continued Russian attacks. Intensive fighting continues along the front line, and that just makes it even more important that NATO Allies continue to support Ukraine," added Stoltenberg.

Funding of Ukraine's aid in the U.S.

The funds allocated by the U.S. for providing weaponry to Ukraine are running out.

Recently, U.S. President Joe Biden requested over $100 billion from Congress. The package includes new funding for Ukraine of over $60 billion and funding for assistance to Israel.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson expressed a desire to reject Biden's idea of combining assistance to Ukraine and Israel. The corresponding bill has already been supported by the lower house of Congress, but the Senate refuses even to consider it.

In the coming weeks, the Senate will consider Biden's initiative. Majority leader in the Senate Chuck Schumer aims to hold a vote on the relevant bill on December 4.
