Intelligence warns Finland's Stubb of Russian threat

Finnish President Alexander Stubb has revealed that intelligence services of some countries have warned him that his state could become the next victim of Russian aggression. However, he argues that Moscow's threats should be treated more coolly, according to Politico.
Stubb pointed to an overreaction by some intelligence services that say "you are next" regarding a Russian invasion.
"We don’t see the evidence of that," he said.
The politician says that Europe must be vigilant, but not alarmed.
"But, you know, we have the longest border in NATO with Russia, it’s half the border. In our intelligence we see that there is activity but no imminent military threat right now," the Finnish president added.
The politician also noted that a full-scale military escalation does not serve Russia's interests, nor does it match its capabilities.
"So they will continue to intimidate and we just have to be, as I say, cool, calm and collected in this situation," Stubb concluded.
Provocations and threats from Russia
Moscow has recently increasingly resorted to provocations against NATO countries, particularly regarding drone incursions into the territory of foreign states.
Despite Helsinki's balanced reaction, Stubb has called on the citizens of Finland to be prepared for possible sabotage in the country.
Finland is still preparing to repel a potential enemy - in the Baltic Sea, they are practicing the boarding of vessels due to the high threat from Russia.
