Kryvyi Rih attack: number of victims reached 53, Defense Council
The number of casualties from the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih has now increased to 53. The death toll remains unchanged, with four people killed, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, during a telethon broadcast.
"The latest information is as follows: 53 injured, including three children. Among the injured, three people are in critical condition, and one is in extremely critical condition," Vilkul said.
He added that there were four fatalities, including two men and a family consisting of a 45-year-old mother and a 10-year-old girl. The search and rescue operation is ongoing, as people may still be trapped under the rubble.
According to Vilkul's estimates, the debris from the attack on the technical school may be cleared by the evening. However, the work on the residential building is not expected to be completed before tomorrow morning.
Missile strike on Kryvyi Rih
As a reminder, Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, using "ballistic" weaponry.
One Russian missile struck a four-story educational institution (technical school), while another rocket almost destroyed the entrance of a nine-story residential building.
As a result of the strike, a fire broke out in the building, which has been extinguished. The search and rescue operation is underway, as people may still be trapped under the debris.
