The IMF plans to make a decision on a $1.1 billion tranche for Ukraine. The meeting is scheduled for December 20, stated the head of the IMF Communications Department Julie Kozack, according to Ukrinform.

The IMF confirmed that its Executive Board will convene on Friday to approve the new loan tranche. This time, the issue of $1.1 billion under the Extended Fund Facility program will be considered.

If approved, Ukraine would gain access to approximately $1.1 billion, Kozack noted.

The agreement between Ukraine and the IMF for a $15.6 billion EFF program was initially approved in March 2023.

Under this program, six tranches totaling about $8.7 billion have already been received.

As reported earlier, the Executive Board will review the issue of Ukraine at its meeting on December 20.

In particular, it is planned to approve the sixth revision of the Extended Fund Facility Program, a request to change the performance criterion, and a review of funding guarantees.
